The City of Calgary Public Art Program invites members of the Blackfoot Confederacy to apply for this curatorial opportunity. Open to Blackfoot/Blackfeet curators, both individuals and artist teams or collectives are eligible. Applicants with curatorial experience are encouraged to apply. The curator or team will work with the Indigenous curator, public art conservator, public art liaison, and collections specialist develop a Blackfoot-specific, loanable exhibit for communities and schools. The role includes all aspects of public art exhibition development—budgeting, artist visits, design, curatorial writing, and more. The curator’s own artwork will not be eligible for inclusion in the final exhibit.
