Are you a new generation Black artist looking to expand your skills in theatre creation and production? The Black Theatre School is running a 9-month professional theatre training pilot program dedicated to nurturing emerging and established Black theatre practitioners across multiple disciplines, including:
-Performance: Poetry, Dance, Acting
-Playwriting & Directing

The Black Theatre School provides a decolonial, immersive, and interdisciplinary training ground where Black aesthetics, world-building, and embodied learning techniques take center stage. Rooted in the Anitafrika Method and Critical Dub Pedagogy, our approach nurtures self-actualization, critical analysis, and intersectional storytelling through the Anitafrika Method's three-stage process:
-Self-Transformation: Developing critical consciousness through decolonial methodologies
-Creative Expression: Expanding artistic practice through technical training, and interdisciplinary exploration.
-Community Embodiment: Presenting original works in community-centred public performances
