Our dramaturgs are here to provide meaningful recommendations and help you get to the next phase with your work.

Open to submissions from across Canada, our Dramaturgical Reading Program is perfect for playwrights who are looking for a structured and critical response to their completed one-act or full-length play. We welcome submissions from playwrights at any stage of their careers. After receiving your completed submission, one of our experienced dramaturgs will respond with a report that includes a detailed analysis of your script, constructive criticism, and questions for consideration as you move forward with the next draft.

Applications are accepted year-round.
 

To submit online:
- Make sure your PTC Playwright Membership is up to date ($25 per year)
- Complete the application form
- Upload your script with the completed application form, and
- Pay a fee of $191.11 ($175.00 DRP fee + $7.00 processing fee + $9.10 GST).

Charging the above fee allows us to cover the costs of the DRP, including paying professional dramaturgs a fair wage. If the fee is a barrier to you, please email [email protected]. PTC is committed to offering financially accessible programs to our community.
