Gidinawendimin - Paper based dioramas

Northumberland County Archives and Museum
Canada
Northumberland County Archives and Museum (NCAM) is seeking Indigenous artists to contribute to the inaugural exhibition at NCAM which will celebrate Anishinaabemowin in the Michi Saagiig dialect—the first predominant language spoken on this territory. This exhibition is being created under the guidance of e wiindmaagzijig, an Indigenous Advisory Circle brought together to lead this project.
This opportunity is open to Indigenous artists – emerging or established – with a connection to the Michi Saagiig territory or other Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. Artists interested in collaborating are welcome to submit a joint proposal. We especially encourage submissions from artists working in paper art, shadow art, or diorama construction.
