EQ Bank is pleased to launch the 10th edition of the Emerging Digital Artists Award, Canada’s award for critical experimentation in digital media, accepting submissions now through August 5, 2024.

The 2024 award includes:

• five $5,000 prizes;
• an international residency opportunity at CYENS Thinker Maker Space in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 2025;
• participation in a virtual exhibition produced by SpekWork Studio and presented by the MacKenzie Art Gallery in 2024-25;
• participation in a touring group exhibition at Gallery TPW, EMMEDIA Gallery & Production Society, and Centre for Art Tapes in 2024-25; and
• a one-year subscription to Pilot Art List.

Canadian artists aged 18+ within the first eight years of their professional careers are encouraged to apply. We welcome submissions of screen-based works that are not only created with digital technologies, but also speak to the concerns, ethics, and constructs of virtual space in their production. Submissions should be made to one of five categories: Still Image; Moving Image; 2D Interactive; Extended Reality; and 3D Installation.
